The Dalton Organization of churches is a non-discriminatory, non-profit organization of churches who while being hearers of the Word realize that we are called to be doers of the Word as well. Therefore, we are united to meet the needs of residents of the Dalton area as well as any transients who might be stranded in Dalton.

The most obvious needs presented to local churches are financial in nature. Thus we seek to relieve the financial needs of individuals and families who are in crisis situations.

DOC-UP realizes that financial crises arise out of problems of a deeper nature. Therefore, it is our hope to go beneath the surface of the presenting symptom to try and eradicate the basic problem.

DOC-UP began in January 1987 and was officially incorporated September 7, 1988 as a non-profit organization. DOC-UP currently has over 25 member churches.
